Steve and I both enjoy this easy wonton soup. I cheat and use pre-made wrappers, and it takes about half an hour to prepare the filling and stuff the wrappers. Actual cooking time is very short.

Christmas baking isn’t complete until I have made Tourtiere. It is a delicious, mildly spicy, meat pie which we enjoy on Christmas Eve. Years ago, my daughter wanted to try it, and one of the clients in the bank where I worked, was kind enough to share his mother’s recipe…so it’s a genuine French Canadian version.
Stuffed pasta shells are a treat my husband makes for me when we have leftover ham. I love this combination of flavours.
My husband decided to make dinner tonight. Fortunately, he planned ahead to make Italian sausage and bean soup, and soaked the beans overnight. Takes about 1.5 hours to cook.
Homemade pizza is great, and very easy to make. You can make your own dough (by hand, using a mixer or using a bread machine), or, these days, you can buy a pre-made pizza base. If you are in a hurry, and have pre-made dough or a pizza base, you can make pizza in less than half an hour.
My husband kindly offered to make his special dry rub barbequed ribs. I leaped at the opportunity and whisked him off to the nearest grocery store to purchase a pack of ribs. This is a meal that cannot be made in a hurry as it takes about 4 hours of slow cooking…nice for the weekend or holidays.
