If you know someone who likes pickled eggs, they are very easy to make.
My husband loves them, so I make them periodically.
- 1 dozen hard boiled eggs
- 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 teaspoon dill seed
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seed
- 2 teaspoons finely minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon finely minced garlic
Sterilize a quart jar in boiling water. Put the peeled, hard-boiled eggs in the jar.
Combine the other ingredients in a large saucepan over medium hear. Bring to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes. Pour this over the eggs. Seal the jar. Refrigerate for a week before eating.
