Magic Bullet Blender

I’ve had my magic bullet blender for about seven years now, and I can definitely recommend it, especially for smoothies in the morning or if you need to make some almond flour, or salad dressing.  I  personally wouldn’t use it for juicing, or to make anything in large quantities, but for the items I mentioned, it is great and a very affordable item. It is very easy to clean, and is dishwasher safe (aside from the base, naturally).

  • Product: Magic Bullet
  • Price: variable, depending on extras, but around $50
  • Where to Buy: Amazon, Costco, most department stores
  • Ease of Use: very good
  • Warranty: 1 year
  • My rating: 4 out of 5

Uses:

Almond flour for baking:

If you ever need almond flour, the Magic Bullet is excellent for making it. It grinds up the almonds very quickly. I find there are always a few pieces that stay intact, but they are easy to remove.

If I am in a hurry in the morning, I toss half a cup of blueberries, a chopped up banana, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 tablespoon ground flax and half a cup of milk and half a cup of water into the Magic Bullet. A couple of pulses and I am ready to run. The nice thing is that it comes with a lid, so I can simply take the cup with me and drink it in the car or at work.

Honey Pear Salad Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ripe pear, peeled and sliced

Put all ingredients in the Magic Bullet and pulse until smooth. Makes about half to three quarters of a cup of dressing for a total of about 8 points.

There are multiple other uses for this item. As I said, I wouldn’t use it for really big jobs, but for the small things and a quick smoothie breakfast on the go, it is great.

  1. I’m with you, I really love the way this is portable. If you’re really in a hurry, smoothie will travel.

Thanks for the honey pear salad dressing. I haven’t tried that one before. Sounds like something I could easily adapt for my personal use.

  2. This looks like a really useful tool, and you describe it from your own experience after 7 years of using it. So this is s text which people can relay on. Many thanks. Jovo

  3. I loved my Magic Bullet, used it very often. Most of the times, I made smoothies or soups. When it broke I couldn’t find it so now I have a normal blender.

    Have to try your dressing!

    • HI Marie:
They are great little blenders. I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago…I finally broke the little tabs off the cups. I probably could have bought a new cup, but wound up getting one of the sets with LOTS of different cups and blades.

I hope you like the dressing. Even my husband likes it, and he doesn’t usually like fruity dressings.
