About Me

Hi there.

My name is Cindy, and I love to eat. Since I wasn’t born to affluenceabout Cindy and my own personal chef, I learned to cook and bake. I am always seeking new things to try, while at the same time falling back on tried and true comfort foods when I’ve had a bad week.

Since my daughter moved out on her own, and calls frequently at dinner time to ask how long to cook something for, or what seasonings to use, or what temperature to set her oven to, I’ve realized that a lot of people find cooking a bit intimidating or are unsure what certain cookery terms mean. I’d like to help with that.

I am hoping to create a place where people can come for help with baking or cooking questions, find meal ideas, and ask for advice if they need it. I also hope to record some of my own forays into cooking different foods or using different techniques, trying new appliances, or whatever seems like fun.

I am not a professional chef, but I produce edible (and according to my family, coworkers and friends) very tasty food and treats. Have a look around…I hope you will find it of interest.

Cindy

  1. Cindy,
My family loves pears and feta cheese, so I am going to make this salad tonight to go with our supper. I think it will be a hit! They need something new and I get really bored cooking meals after 42 years. I think your site will revive my love for cooking and give my family some new exiting dishes to eat!
    Thanks!

  2. Thanks for all the awesome recipes Cindy! I can’t wait to make some of that delicious banana bread!
